Since joining HT Capital in 2007, Mr. Rathbone has focused on middle market M&A transactions in multiple segments, including: industrial manufacturing, distribution, business services, and food & beverage. He has worked on both sell-side and buy-side transactions, and has extensive experience at all stages of middle market transactions, from origination to execution and closing. Prior to joining HT Capital Advisors, Mr. Rathbone held the position of Vice President with iQ Venture Partners, a New York based investment bank specializing in capital raising for early-stage companies, private equity funds, and hedge funds. In the five years before joining iQ, Mr. Rathbone played a key role in developing and transacting business for Rayner and Associates, a Perth, Australia-based real estate and business brokerage firm.

In addition to the above, Mr. Rathbone has completed numerous cross-border transactions with clients primarily from Australia, South East Asia, Europe, and the USA, since embarking on his business career in 1996.

Mr. Rathbone holds a Diploma of Financial Services from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA) and has earned the coveted Master of Applied Finance and Investment qualification, also at FINSIA. He also holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
