Mr. von Furth has over ten years of investment banking experience providing merger and acquisition, joint venture, capital raising and general corporate advisory services to both private and public middle market companies.
Prior to joining HT Capital Advisors as Managing Director, Mr. von Furth was a Managing Director in the consumer investment banking group in the Boston office at Stifel Nicolaus & Co (NYSE: SF), an investment banking firm where he was responsible for originating, structuring and executing transactions for companies operating primarily in the consumer products and services sector. Mr. von Furth's experience includes transactions in various industries including restaurants, both franchisors and franchisees, consumer products, apparel, grocery retail, specialty retail, as well as business services, pharmaceutical, transportation and logistics.
Mr. von Furth also worked in the Corporate Finance Practice in both the New York and London offices of Deloitte & Touche LLP, most recently as Managing Director, where he provided merger and acquisition advisory services on sell-side and buy-side transactions domestically and internationally. In addition, Mr. von Furth was a co-founder of X-Girl Clothing Corp., a designer, distributor and retailer of branded fashion apparel, which was eventually sold to a Japanese-based apparel firm.
Mr. von Furth received an MBA in Finance from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business and a BA from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania; He is currently a member of the Association for Corporate Growth (Boston chapter) and holds Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.
